This Privacy Policy explains how Now Playdate, Inc. (“Playdate”, “we”) handles personal information when you use our website and app.

Information we collect

Account information: name, email address, phone number, and the sign-in provider you use (such as Google).
Profile information: profile photo, neighborhood, a short bio, and the age ranges of children in your household.
Verification information: when you choose to verify your identity, our identity partner processes a government ID and a selfie. We receive only the result of that check, not the document itself.
Connections and content: the invitations you send and accept, and the posts, messages, and plans you create.
Technical information: device type, approximate region, and log data needed to keep the service secure.

Children's information

Playdate is for adults. Children do not have accounts. We ask only for an age range and an optional first name so parents can find compatible playdates, and we do not knowingly collect birthdates, school names, or precise locations for children.

How we use information

To operate your account, village, and plans.
To verify identity and keep the community safe.
To suggest nearby families, communities, and local programs.
To respond to support requests and safety reports.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your children's information for advertising. We do not share your contact list with other users.

Sharing

We share information with service providers who help us run Playdate — hosting, identity verification, SMS delivery, and analytics — under contracts that limit their use of the data. We may disclose information where required by law or to address an imminent safety risk.

Your choices

Edit or remove profile details at any time.
Remove a connection, which takes effect immediately.
Request an export or deletion of your account and content.
Control notifications, including quiet hours.

Retention

We keep account data while your account is active and for a limited period afterwards to meet legal, safety, and fraud-prevention obligations. Verification codes expire within minutes.
